Full Papers: For peer review and podium presentation. Accepted and presented full papers will be published in electronic proceedings.
Extended Abstracts: For podium presentation. Extended abstracts will not be published in electronic proceedings.
Poster Abstracts: For poster presentation and/or lighting talk. Poster abstracts will not be published.

November 1, 2026: Submission deadline for full papers, and proposals for panels, tutorials, workshops, discussions, and interactive sessions.
December 15, 2026: Review notification for full papers.
January 15, 2027: Submission deadline for full paper revisions, extended abstracts, and poster abstracts.
February 15, 2027: Acceptance notification for full papers, extended abstracts, and poster abstracts.

Overview

The Conference on Systems Engineering Research (CSER) was established in 2003 by the Systems Engineering Research Center (SERC) to advance the field of systems engineering through rigorous academic research. Over the years, CSER has become a premier international forum for researchers, practitioners, and educators to share innovations, challenges, and solutions in systems engineering. Each year, CSER attracts thought leaders from academia, industry, and government to explore emerging topics and technologies shaping complex systems across domains.

Conference Information

CSER brings together the community of systems scholars to discuss, workshop, and move forward engineering topics related to systems. CSER embraces a system definition where the humans that impact and are impacted by the system are within the system boundary. CSER 2027 will explore modern complex systems and the user, societal, organizational, physical, and process elements tied to them.

Hosted in the heart of Huntsville and next to Redstone Arsenal, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center, and the Cummings Research Park, special topics at CSER 2027 will explore advancing the aerospace, defense, and space systems and their engineering ecosystems.

The organizing committee for CSER 2027 seek contributions that advance the state of the art of systems engineering and digital engineering in application domains ranging from aerospace, defense, energy, healthcare, infrastructure, and others.
